Research Project Overview:

These are notes from my summer research project conducted during the third year of my undergraduate studies at Imperial College London (Summer 2023), under the supervision of Professor Greg Pavliotis.

The project focused on the Mathematics of Machine Learning, specifically investigating the mean-field limits of neural networks. A key observation was the convergence of hidden layer parameter distributions during stochastic gradient descent to a bimodal distribution as the number $N$ of hidden units increases with the number of epochs.
