First Year Project:
This is a poster project completed during my first year of undergraduate studies at Imperial College London.
The project explores the mathematical modeling of solitons in shallow water via the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation. This specific model accounts for the unique phenomenon where waves maintain their shape while propagating at constant speeds.
Throughout this study, I examined both the analytical properties—such as the balance between dispersion and non-linearity—and the numerical behaviors of solitary wave solutions.
